Comfortable and safe
The Yepp 2 Maxi child bike seat has a soft and shock-absorbing shell for high comfort during all your bike rides. The adjustable and padded 5-point safety harness ensures a secure fit for your child's size, and maximum comfort. The footrests and foot straps are also fully adjustable, ensuring a perfect fit as your child grows. For increased visibility there is a built-in reflector on the back of the seat as well as a mounting point for a safety light. The Thule Yepp 2 Maxi was designed and tested for children aged between 9 months and 6 years old, or up to 22 kg.
User-friendly
The water-repellent materials of the seat make it easy to clean and dry. A matching rain cover is also available (to be purchased separately), which can be stored in the backrest. Plus, the Thule Quick Release Bracket makes it easy to mount the Yepp 2 Maxi seat on your bike and to swap the seat between different bikes. After mounting, you can secure the seat to your bike with the included high-quality metal lock.
• Safety harness: 5-point system
• Compliant with EU safety regulations
• Suitable for children aged 9 months to 6 years
• Maximum child weight: 22 kg
From the age of approximately 9 months. It's important that the child is able to sit upright and, if slumping to the side, is able to get back into the upright position without using its hands. This signals your child's neck has developed enough strength, and that you can now transport your child in a child bike seat.

I’m happy with this purchase
It’s great that this seat clicks straight onto a MIK HD luggage rack without needing an adapter. It feels reliable, secure and stable. The only downside is that it doesn’t come with a lock. We had to buy one separately.
Pros & Cons

A nice little chair, but the system isn’t great
A lovely little seat of reliable Thule quality. It’s very comfortable for the child, and the fastening has really been improved compared to a few years ago. Another nice feature: when you remove the seat, only the mounting block remains on your bike, rather than the whole frame (as was the case with the old frame-mounting system). I find the system itself less convenient than I’d hoped. I use it on a touring bike and, in my case, the seat has to be in the rearmost position because otherwise the foot guards cover the frame lock and I can’t reach it. In the rearmost position, however, the seat bounces quite a lot, and I find that counter-movement whilst biking rather annoying. For our e-bikes, we have the Thule Yepp Maxi with MIK HD mounting, and that’s much more comfortable and stable to ride with.

The Thule Yepp 2 Maxi is a super safe, comfortable and durable rear seat that makes its higher price v
In my opinion, the Yepp 2 Maxi is a top-of-the-range rear seat: robust, comfortable, safe and flexible to use. The price is - honestly - on the high side, but considering the build quality and convenience you get in return, it is well worth its money.
